Advanced Practitioner, Family Safeguarding Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Taunton. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with dedicated social workers and Family Safeguarding adult workers to support parents and carers who have experienced domestic abuse, mental health support needs, and substance misuse issues.
Key Responsibilities- Hold a caseload of complex work, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and pre-proceedings/court work
- Develop and grow strong and supportive working relationships with children and young people, parents and carers, and professional agencies
- Manage and prioritize your workload and any competing demands
- Contribute to the team's practice education, co-working, mentoring, and chairing planning meetings and Strategy Discussions
- At least 3 years of post-Social Work qualification experience in Safeguarding
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage unexpected situations in a calm way
- Registered with Social Work England
- Flexible working available, using a hybrid model - working from home and your contracted work base
