Job Title: Estimating Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Estimating Specialist to join our team in Colchester.

About the Position:

  • Evaluate architectural drawings to create precise estimates of project requirements.
  • Develop well-rounded proposals that address client needs.
  • Deliver superior customer service by promptly addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Periodic site visits may be required to ensure seamless support delivery.
  • Attend key meetings with Design and Production teams to guarantee smooth transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales & Estimating.
  • Maintain current records of each inquiry and quotation within internal databases.
  • Gain insight into production processes by engaging with the manufacturing team.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within the construction sector, either through education or hands-on work.
  • Expertise in Excel and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are paramount.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam and CAD tools (e.g. Autodesk) is beneficial, though further training may be provided.
  • Capacity to reassess calculations before locking in prices is critical.
  • Former experience in building design is advantageous, though supplementary training will be given if necessary.
  • Attention to detail and professional communication skills are fundamental.
  • Individuals must demonstrate autonomy, meticulousness, and strong customer empathy.
  • Vehicle ownership is mandatory.
