About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team in London. As a Community Pharmacy Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care and promoting health advice to our customers.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in pharmacy services. You will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary to meet patients' needs, tailoring conversations to ensure they leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Health Advice: Engage with customers through focused conversations, delivering clear and accurate answers to their health-related queries.
  • Dispensing Services: Safely supply medicines, including ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
  • Compliance and Quality: Adhere to legal and professional requirements, as well as accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
  • Clinical Governance: Seek opportunities to engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £12.69 per hour, rising to £14.05 in selected locations within London. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a Boots Retirement Savings Plan pension scheme, discretionary Christmas Gift Payment, and enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need either an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or be working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm course at university. Additionally, you must have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. If not, we will support your development to complete our training within 6 months of joining us.
