Join Vix Technology as a Field Engineer

Vix Technology, a global leader in automatic fare collection, transit information, and transit analytics solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Engineer to support, maintain, and improve products and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify system faults through electrical testing procedures and with Vix software monitoring tools
  • Correspondence with customers on maintenance and fault issues
  • Maintain and drive to improve KPI performance
  • Installation and commissioning of on-vehicle and on-street equipment
  • Liaise with local team and with Configuration Engineers
  • Ensure compliance of planned maintenance programme
Requirements:
  • NVQ or similar in electrical engineering or Level 3 NVQ or similar in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Customer Awareness, ability to demonstrate professionalism and effectively interact with customers, delivering excellent and consistent service
  • Proven experience as a field-based engineer, time-served electrical engineer or a time-served vehicle technician with a demonstrable track record of fault diagnosis of vehicle electrical/electronic systems
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Working with IT systems with knowledge of applications and basic networking
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and procedures
  • Proven electrical knowledge to diagnose faults
  • Ability to identify best engineering working practices
  • Experience and/or accreditation as part of The HEA, including Emergency First Aid at Work training and any HERS Found level accreditation
  • NVQ Level 2
