High Needs SEND Leader

We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team as Assistant Director High Needs Send Operations. As a key member of the Children's Services Extended Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in enhancing outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Norfolk.
The ideal candidate will have significant senior operational and strategic leadership experience, understanding local and national SEND policies, and proven ability to build effective relationships across organisational boundaries. They will also have experience in developing solutions for outstanding service delivery and improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
This role offers a competitive salary of £75,322-£84,031 per annum, plus a range of benefits including flexible working options, health and wellbeing services, and a Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational and strategic leadership to the High Needs SEND team
- Influence the Norfolk SEND system to ensure comprehensive support and provision for children and their families
- Develop solutions for outstanding service delivery and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND
- Work collaboratively with the Children's Services Extended Leadership Team
