Job Summary

A&P Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at A&P Tyne. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company meets and complies with all quality control aspects of welding and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of work being carried out by A&P and our contractors to ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
  • Support the maintenance of the Company Welding and Fabrication Quality Management System procedures and manuals.
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure the quality control of all welding and fabrication operations within the facility.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (magnetic particle and liquid penetrant).
  • Assist with the investigation and rectification of non-conformances, customer complaints, and the defining of preventative actions.

Requirements

  • CSWIP Welding Inspector or equivalent certification with experience of fabrication inspection.
  • PCN certification in non-destructive testing (MPI, LPI) is desirable, but training can be provided if needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation.
  • Proactive approach to quality issues with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of our work, some roles at A&P are subject to security control restrictions. These restrictions may limit the roles you can perform with us. You must also undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check before your employment starts, which will include a basic DBS check.
