A&P NORTH EAST – Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer who is dedicated to ensuring that every project we undertake adheres to the highest quality standards. If you have a passion for developing and maintaining Inspection Test Plans, this position could be a perfect fit for you.

This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to identify quality challenges and opportunities for enhancement, thereby maintaining optimal safety and efficiency levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review client Inspection Plans to ascertain quality specifications such as material grade, welding techniques, non-destructive testing requirements, intervention points, acceptance criteria, and record verification.
  • Develop, manage, and update Inspection Test Plans for various projects.
  • Ensure the completion of all reports generated during the manufacturing process, contributing to the creation of manufacturing record books.
  • Work closely with the project team to align Inspection Test Plans with project requirements.
  • Conduct weekly surveillance tours of the units, addressing any quality concerns with the project and production teams.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve identified quality issues.
  • Participate actively in project progress and quality meetings.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in quality engineering and inspection plan management.
  • Technical knowledge of marine processes, materials, and industry standards, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Thorough understanding of quality standards and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills developed through project work and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in various Microsoft applications, including Project, Word, and Excel.
