About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Technical Director to join our team at Flawless AI, a leading company in the film industry. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for supporting users with 3rd party Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools, such as Nuke and DaVinci Resolve, as well as our proprietary Flawless products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and Support: Identify and troubleshoot application issues, escalating them to the appropriate product teams as needed.
  • Pipeline Development: Continuously develop and integrate DCC apps into our pipeline, ensuring seamless workflows and efficient delivery.
  • Tooling and Scripting: Develop and maintain Python scripts to optimize ingest and delivery processes, as well as support media and asset management through our cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Support Workflows: Own and facilitate support workflows, including recurring issue resolution and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Film Post-Production Expertise: In-depth understanding of editorial workflows and the film post-production pipeline.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Python, Linux systems, and software lifecycle management.
  • Security Awareness: Understanding of security requirements when handling sensitive media.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in a production environment.
  • Communication Skills: Competency in conversing about technical issues with creative users.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Web Development: Familiarity with web development frameworks, such as Flask or FastAPI.
  • Film Image Pipeline: Experience with common film image pipeline libraries, such as OTIO, OIIO, or OCIO.
  • DCC APIs: Proficiency with DCC-specific APIs, such as Nuke or Resolve.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience working with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or GCP.
