Investigo is seeking a highly skilled Category Manager Waste to join our team. As a Category Manager Waste, you will be responsible for managing a team of 2 and overseeing the waste management category for our expanding food-based business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all regulatory and legislative requirements are met for individual categories, maintaining a high level of compliance and minimizing risk.
- Target Delivery: Accountable for the delivery of agreed targets and objectives, driving business growth and improvement.
- Strategic Category Review: Conduct regular strategic category reviews with the line manager to achieve savings targets, improve quality and service levels, and meet business objectives.
- Long-Term Planning: Implement long-term strategic category plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Financial Management: Complete annual budgets for categories and re-forecast against these on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate financial planning and management.
- Category Expertise: Serve as the category expert and first point of contact for responsible spend areas, providing guidance and support to stakeholders.
- Market Intelligence: Track commodity pricing information, comparing market rates to contractual positions, and using data to inform commercial and business decisions.
- Supplier Management: Manage ongoing supplier relationships at a senior level, establishing and maintaining strategic relationships to maximize efficiency and value.
- Team Support: Provide coaching and support to less experienced team members, as well as deputize for the Head of Procurement as needed.
- Cross-Functional Projects: Take ownership of cross-category or cross-functional projects involving supplier-related issues, driving collaboration and results.
Requirements:
For this role, we require:
- Procurement experience in the Waste Category.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
