D-Orbit is a pioneering company in space logistics and transportation. We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for spacecraft, including structure, thermal, and mechanisms.
  • Conduct mechanical requirements reviews to ensure compliance with ECSS standards.
  • Act as the technical interface with other internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate design and test results.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Proven experience in managing aerospace projects and familiarity with ECSS standards.
  • Background in FEM modeling and analysis.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques used in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with background in CAD PTC Creo software a plus.

Language:

  • Proficiency in English required.
