Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at D-Orbit, a pioneering company in the space logistics and transportation industry. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing mechanical systems for spacecraft, including structure, thermal, and mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems for spacecraft, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards.
- Conduct mechanical requirements reviews and troubleshoot design issues.
- Act as the technical interface with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate design and test results.
- Perform component dimensioning using static equivalent loads approach.
- Draft manufacturing documentation and assembly procedures.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proven experience in managing aerospace projects, with familiarity with ECSS standards and requirements.
- Background in FEM modeling and analysis.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques used in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, with experience in CAD PTC Creo software a plus.
- Proficiency in English language.
