We are seeking an exceptional Early Years Educator - Family Support Specialist to join our dedicated team at the Early Years Alliance. This pivotal role offers a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of families and children, while contributing to the development of innovative early years services.

About the Role

This fixed-term position until 31 March 2026, with a possible 2-year extension, presents a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to work alongside experienced educators, supporting vulnerable children and their families. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child development, EYFS principles, and effective communication skills to foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging educational sessions for young children and their families, promoting positive health outcomes, emotional literacy, and parenting support.
  • Collaborate with early years settings, health providers, and other professionals to provide seamless support to families, ensuring access to essential services and resources.
  • Track the progress of vulnerable children, working closely with multi-agency teams to identify and address developmental delays.
  • Support parents and carers in accessing their child's Healthy Child Programme (HCP) mandated checks, promoting physical and emotional well-being through health promotion and partnership working.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent qualification, or a health and social care degree level with relevant early years and childcare modules.
  • Proven experience in a successful multi-agency approach, with effective communication skills and knowledge of EYFS principles.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures, as well as the aims and objectives of Children's Centres and national developments in services for children aged 0-5 years.
