**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Deputy Headteacher to join our team at Acorn Education. As part of Outcomes First Group, we provide specialist education and residential care for vulnerable pupils and young people.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with SEMH and/or challenging behaviors, as well as complex needs. They will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, and ensuring cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a degree and QTS, with a passion for improving the lives of pupils and young people. They will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, working with education, residential care, and clinical teams to provide a high-quality education service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with good safeguarding procedures and principles
  • Participate in the assessment of referrals
  • Act as overall curriculum coordinator and manager
  • Lead the positive support of behavior that may challenge
  • Monitor progress and targets to ensure planned outcomes
