About Us: Outcomes First Group is a leading independent provider of specialist education and residential care for vulnerable pupils and young people.


We are currently seeking an inspirational Deputy Headteacher to help set up and grow our new SEN school in Newcastle.


About the Role:


To provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Comply with good safeguarding procedures and principles as detailed by the local safeguarding board
  • Participate in the process of assessment of referrals
  • Act as overall curriculum coordinator and manager across the school
  • Act as the lead teacher for the positive support of behaviour that may challenge
  • Work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team which encompasses education, residential care and the clinical team
  • Monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student can achieve planned outcomes

Essential Criteria:



  • Relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with SEMH and/or challenging behaviours
  • Relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with complex needs
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Managing budgets effectively and ensuring cost efficiency
  • Degree and QTS
