We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our supportive team at a friendly and inclusive primary school. This is a part-time role that requires someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across the school.
  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to support individual pupil learning and well-being.
  • Develop and implement SEN policies and strategies in line with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of pupils with SEN, ensuring they receive appropriate support and resources.
  • Provide training and guidance for teaching staff on SEN best practices and interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
  • Proven experience in working with children with SEN.
  • Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
