Job Overview
At Church & Dwight, we're committed to innovation and excellence in our products. As a Development Chemist, you'll play a key role in driving our product development forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and formulate new products, working closely with global partners to ensure alignment with consumer insights and market trends.
- Oversee and enhance our existing portfolio of products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Initiate new product concepts and create compelling demonstrations for innovative solutions, leveraging your expertise in FMCG and personal care formulation.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Quality Control, and Packaging departments to provide essential technical support, ensuring seamless product launches.
- Conduct laboratory and clinical tests to ensure product efficacy and safety, upholding our commitment to consumer well-being.
- Manage and mentor Junior Development Chemists and interns, guiding them to achieve their goals and develop their skills.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective project teams across functions.
- Self-motivation and a proactive attitude, with the ability to plan, use initiative, and solve problems creatively.
- Advanced IT skills, especially in Microsoft software, with the ability to present information clearly.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within the UK and Europe, as well as maintain contact with teams in the US and Australia.
- Proven expertise in FMCG, particularly in personal care and oral care formulation, and a university degree in Sciences or a related relevant qualification.
