About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of projects in various operational production plant, laboratory, and site infrastructure support areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including business planning, bid, delivery, and contract closure.
  • Manage project teams to deliver projects safely, economically, and efficiently.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive project objectives and outcomes.
  • Balance project priorities with ongoing business unit and operational plant requirements.
  • Use leadership strategies to address cultural and people issues associated with implementing change.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Facilitate appointments to project teams and engage with functional managers to achieve necessary skills and experience.
  • Ensure projects are resourced with suitably qualified and experienced personnel and are delivered in compliance with Westinghouse procedures.
  • Provide mentoring and training opportunities for less experienced project professionals.
  • Manage and review customer offers, including basis of estimate documents, risk and assumption modeling, and costs provided to governance authorities.
  • Lead problem-solving activities and seek opportunities to innovate and drive for solutions.
  • Ensure effective and efficient reporting at all levels up to the Business Unit and Springfields Executive.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in project management, project controls, scientific, or engineering discipline to BEng level.
  • At least 5 years of experience at project manager level or above in high complexity, highly regulated environments.
  • At least 5 further years of managing full lifecycle projects from business case, bid, initiation, execution, closeout, and benefits realization.
  • Strong commercial experience, particularly in managing large vendors or service providers.
  • Leadership knowledge of CDM and NEC4.
  • Understanding of the UK regulatory bodies and requirements for delivering change within a nuclear licensed site.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • Leadership level competencies in planning, controlling, and risk management within complex projects and senior projects.
