Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working in a GP surgery, preferably as a receptionist or administrator. However, all relevant experience will be considered.

Main Duties of the Job

The role will be instrumental in supporting the administration and delivery of local enhanced services and other PCN projects that help to improve health outcomes for our patients and enhance the sustainability and resilience of our network practices.

The post holder will work within an established PCN hub team that centralises call-recall functions for network practices and PCN services, administration of online consultations, and more.

Job Responsibilities

The main job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Supporting the delivery of PCN Enhanced Services across the network, including Diabetes and Mental Health.

Supporting achievement against QOF indicators including childhood immunisations, cervical screening, Asthma, COPD, and more.

Contacting and responding to patients' requests for each network practice by telephone, email, or SMS.

Supporting full utilisation of practice appointments and PCN Enhanced Access appointments.

Using a range of IT systems including the Microsoft package (Outlook, Excel, and Word), EMIS Web, and AccuRx.

Administrative support for PCN projects and other ad hoc work as it arises that enhances the resilience and sustainability of our network practices.

About Us

Southwest Barnet PCN5 is a group of 6 GP practices, friendly forward-thinking practices, who work across Hendon, Cricklewood, and Golders Green area. Within the PCN team, we have Clinical Pharmacist, Dietician, Mental Health Practitioner, First Contact Physio, Nurses, Care Coordinators, Social Prescribers.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working in Primary Care.

Experience using EMIS clinical system.

Experience with using computers.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience using ACCRUX.

Experience working in a GP practice.
