As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs in their educational journey.

The ideal candidate will have experience in SEN settings, a valid UK driving license, and Level 2 or higher qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning. A minimum of GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above is also required, along with an understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.

You will be responsible for providing care support as needed, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies, and collaborating with teachers to deliver engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning needs. Building strong relationships with students is key to fostering a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

In this dynamic role, you will participate in planning and evaluating learning activities, provide constructive feedback on student progress, and assist in monitoring and reporting student progress in accordance with school policies. You will also support positive behaviour and adapt responses to changes in student behaviour, promoting holistic development and British values within the curriculum.

To succeed in this position, you should possess creativity, positivity, and a willingness to assist as needed. Knowledge or experience working with SEN or SEMH/ASD is advantageous.
