About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and transportation services to patients in need, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Operate our ambulance vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the ambulance is roadworthy and report any defects.
  • Administer patient care, including moving and lifting patients as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to provide a positive patient experience.
Requirements
  • Full manual UK driving licence with no more than 3 points for speeding.
  • Previous experience of working in a customer care role or similar.
  • Previous experience of using online systems and email.
  • Ability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
