About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient transport services to our community, ensuring that patients receive safe and dignified care during their journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to and from medical appointments, using your excellent communication skills to reassure and support them.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, using our specialized equipment to ensure their safe transfer into and out of our vehicles.
  • Drive our long-wheelbase ambulances, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless patient care, from initial contact to safe arrival at their destination.
