Ambulance Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care and transportation services to patients in need, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
- Operate ambulance vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the ambulance is roadworthy and report any defects.
- Administer patient care, including moving and lifting patients, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to provide a positive patient experience.
- Participate in the Trust's response to major incidents and pandemics, as directed.
- Full manual UK driving licence with no more than 3 points for speeding.
- Previous experience of working in a customer care role or a care setting.
- Previous shift working experience and ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move patients, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
