About the Job:

As a Station Manager Assistant at FirstGroup, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of trains and stations. Your primary responsibility will be to provide timely and accurate travel information to our customers, while also assisting them in reaching their destinations safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for thousands of customers daily by operating your station with professionalism.
  • Keep customers updated on their journeys through clear announcements and personal interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with train staff and colleagues to ensure trains depart on schedule and safely.
  • Safely dispatch trains from platforms, adhering to strict protocols and observing proper signal usage.
  • Assist customers with queries about SWR services, London transport, and key attractions.
  • Maintain a flexible approach and be willing to adapt to various tasks as part of being the face of FirstGroup.

Requirements:

  • Able to commute to work within 60 minutes for all shifts.
  • Organized and efficient with the ability to handle repetitive tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers.
  • Possess normal colour vision.
  • Competent in using technology.
  • Confident in making regular live announcements.
