About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join our specialist multi-disciplinary learning disability health team. The successful candidate will work with a team of learning disability nurses to provide a high-quality nursing service across the county.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Conduct nursing assessments and formulate care plans for individuals with learning disabilities.
  2. Provide advice and support on various health care needs to people with learning disabilities, their carers, and other professionals.
  3. Deliver person-centred care that is recovery-focused and reflects current best practice.
  4. Participate in developing health promotion initiatives to reduce health inequalities.
  5. Take appropriate action in relation to safeguarding vulnerable adults, where necessary.

Person Specification
  • Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) qualification.
  • Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • ENB 998 or Mentorship and Support in Professional Practice.
  • Post-graduate qualification related to a specialist LD clinical area of practice.
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time, flexible working position with compressed hours.

The salary for this role is £29,970 to £36,483 a year, pro rata.
