Job Opportunity: SEN Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Support Worker to join our team in Harrogate. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and possess strong behaviour management skills.

The role involves providing tailored support to secondary age students with SEMH needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively. This includes working collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver educational activities, implementing behaviour management strategies to create a safe and positive learning environment, and assisting in monitoring and evaluating students' progress.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Proven experience as an HLTA, specifically within SEMH or SEN settings.
  2. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
  3. Excellent behaviour management skills and strategies.
  4. Ability to build rapport with secondary age students and adapt to their individual learning requirements.

This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum. We also offer opportunities for ongoing professional development in the field of SEN education.
