About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Protection Officer, where you will play a key role in shaping our approach to data protection and information governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on data protection and information governance matters
  • Manage data protection access requests and freedom of information requests
  • Collaborate with external organizations, such as the Information Commissioners Office
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in information governance, corporate governance, or data protection
  • Sound understanding of public sector data protection
  • Knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection Laws, FOI's, and SAR's
  • Ability to develop and maintain policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits

  • Salary: £40,221 per annum, rising with service through a band
  • Full-time hours, Monday-Friday
