Your new opportunity is with a leading North Wales business that has been established over 25 years. They are seeking a Financial Accountant to cover maternity leave on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate management accounts and information packs, accompanied by detailed working papers, in a timely manner.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of corporation tax and VAT returns, ensuring seamless reconciliation processes.
  • Contribute to statutory audits, year-end accounts, and government submissions as part of a high-performing finance team.
  • Review incentive scheme payouts and reconciliations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Proactively manage financial controls, pinpointing opportunities for enhanced efficiency.
  • Develop and review policies, systems, and processes to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and support internal audits as required.

About You

  • AACI, ACCA, CIMA qualified or an experienced accountant with a strong background in financial and management accounting.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential, and you should be available to start shortly.

What We Offer

  • An initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extending into a permanent role following its completion.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangement, with approximately 2-3 days spent in the office per week.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around £40,000-£50,000 based on industry standards.
