Maintenance Specialist

The Maintenance Specialist will work closely with the Engineering Manager and Shift Skills Development Managers to provide round-the-clock response to mechanical and electrical breakdowns in production areas. The role involves performing planned preventative maintenance, project work, and facilitating optimal performance of associated equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, preferably HNC level qualified, and be mechanically or electrically biased. A team player with a can-do attitude is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns promptly
- Diagnose and recommend improvements to manufacturing equipment and site facilities
- Carry out regular equipment maintenance to ensure safety and reliability
- Assist in training other Maintenance Engineers in areas of expertise
- Support Production Operatives in identifying potential machine failures
- Inform Management of potential breakdowns or process downtime
- Maintain safe working practices and high standards of housekeeping
Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £35,000, negotiable depending on experience.
