Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Unicatcatalyst. This is a 100% hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and be qualified to HNC level. They will also have a can-do attitude and be a team player.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £35,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns as expediently as possible
- Diagnose and make recommendations to existing and future manufacturing equipment and site facilities
- Carry out regular and recorded equipment maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and reliable
- Assist in any training required of other Maintenance Engineers
About the Role: The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager and Shift Skills Development Managers to provide round-the-clock response to mechanical and electrical breakdowns. They will also be responsible for performing general planned preventative maintenance and ongoing project and development work.
