CNC Milling Machinist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join our team at Smiths Engineering. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating 3 & 5 Axis CNC milling machining centres.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts
  • Proving out programs to ensure smooth production batches
  • Inspecting and finishing machined parts to meet quality standards
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings
  • Working knowledge of Heidenhain or Siemens controls
Requirements:
  • Time served or level 3 engineering qualification at pass grade
  • CNC machining experience setting and machining on milling machines
  • Competency in finishing and inspecting machined parts
  • Good attention to detail
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in Vericut
  • CNC programming experience
  • Experience in Mastercam or similar CAM Software
