Recruit4Staff (Wrexham) Ltd. is seeking a Commercial Development Lead to work out of their London or Swindon offices.

  • This role involves actively managing and winning tender opportunities while providing clear leadership and direction for all members of the bid team.
  • The successful candidate will drive and energise the bid team to achieve a successful outcome for each allocated tender, following designated processes and best practices in place within the organisation.

In this role, you will ensure that a coherent bid strategy is developed, working in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and Sector Director.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the tender programme
  • Keeping senior management informed of developments on tenders and gaining acceptance of key decision points
  • Working with the commercial manager to understand the route map to deliver margin set within the business plan
  • Arranging and coordinating tender and post-tender meetings/interviews with the Client/Employer's Agent

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of civil engineering/construction, team management experience, and sound knowledge of the UK construction market.

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Benefits include company car or car allowance, 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, pension with up to 8% contribution from our client, and day shifts.

Please note that this role requires strong presentation and client communication skills, as well as the ability to understand and interpret complex client requirements and technical information.
