Electromagnetic Compatibility Specialist

Element Materials Technology is seeking an experienced EMC Test Engineer to join our team in Surrey Hills, Guildford. As a key member of our operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting compliance testing on a wide range of products, including radio frequency wireless devices.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of relevant standards, including IEC 60601-1-2, ETSI EN 301-489-1, EN 300 328, and ANSI C63.10. They will also have experience with EMC and RF testing, as well as a proven ability to use test equipment such as EMI receivers, Anechoic Chambers, and Spectrum Analyzers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct EMC and RF tests on a variety of products, including setting up test equipment and customer equipment, and accurately documenting the testing process and outcome.
- Understand customer test plans and follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation.
- Interact with customers during the testing process, assisting with troubleshooting and development modifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electronics or equivalent electronics testing experience.
- Minimum of 2-5 years working in Regulatory Compliance with specific experience in EMC Testing.
- Certification of Wireless Device Technologies.
- Experience testing devices with wireless capabilities, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC.
- Knowledge of radio test standards for Europe.
