About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Trainer to join our team at Hickory's Smokehouse. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs to our restaurant staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs to restaurant staff, focusing on customer service, team development, and Southern Hospitality principles.
- Recruit and train new team members, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Lead team trips and implement our 'Southern Hospitality' mindset in our restaurants.
- Collaborate with our management team to identify training needs and develop solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our training programs, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Previous training or coaching experience in a similar role within a fast-paced or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Previous experience with project management.
- Ability to work to strict timeframes and overnight stays may be required.
- Passion for delivering an amazing guest experience and pushing team members to reach their full potential.
- Welcoming, empathetic, and infectious personality.
- Drive to find grey areas, think outside the box, and never give up on any team member.
- Ability to evaluate processes and bring new ideas.
- Open and honest communication skills, experience of or the ability to give feedback.
- Ability to set and maintain the highest standards.
