About the RoleAs a **Financial Controller**, you will play a critical role in leading the accounting & finance team, driving financial stability and growth in the manufacturing industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Financial Controller will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintaining accounting records and managing the company's payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Authorising statutory returns and payment of tax amounts due, minimising financial risk and avoiding potential penalties.
- Providing financial guidance and support to operational managers, helping them make informed business decisions.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with at least 5 years of PQE experience.
- Relevant experience in a similar role in the manufacturing and production or related industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
We are offering a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, a comprehensive benefits package including a discretionary bonus scheme, and flexible working arrangements (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
