About the Role

As a **Financial Controller**, you will play a critical role in leading the accounting & finance team, driving financial stability and growth in the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  2. Maintaining accounting records and managing the company's payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
  3. Authorising statutory returns and payment of tax amounts due, minimising financial risk and avoiding potential penalties.
  4. Providing financial guidance and support to operational managers, helping them make informed business decisions.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with at least 5 years of PQE experience.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role in the manufacturing and production or related industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
What We Offer

We are offering a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, a comprehensive benefits package including a discretionary bonus scheme, and flexible working arrangements (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
