About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Operations Manager to lead the transformation of our electric fleet operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our EV charging infrastructure across our London depots and fleet chargers scattered across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement, management, and ongoing improvement of our back office systems, chargers Maintenance and Service Level agreements.
- Coordinate the work of our EVCI Operations Managers located on our largest depots, ensuring reliable operation of the electric fleet and associated charging infrastructure.
- Continuous training and upskilling of on-site operators and EVCI managers to ensure they can work independently and efficiently.
- Updating our business continuity plans where relevant.
- Managing the implementation of solutions to minimize the energy bill and lifecycle emissions of our electric fleet.
- Closely engage with existing and prospect customers, demonstrating the reliability and performance of Veolia's electric operations.
- Act as a referent person in the company for the operation of EV Charging Infrastructure and electric fleet, demonstrating leadership skills and independence.
- Regular interaction with the Electrification team to provide feedback on depot design improvement measures and contribute to feasibility studies of new depot electrification.
- Work with our IT teams to develop reporting tools for both the business and our customers, and integrate third-party solutions to our existing ones.
Requirements:
- An excellent communicator at all levels of an organization, with the ability to listen for feedback and continuously train staff.
- A degree in engineering or a similar technical qualification.
- Experience in a similar role looking after the operation and maintenance of power equipment (ideally EV charging infrastructure).
- Knowledge of power systems, energy distribution at a site, electrical safety standards.
- Regular client exposure in a previous role.
- Contract negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of field services.
- Previous project management experience.
- Experience with data analytics will be a plus.
