DMS Computer Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in IT and engineering roles. We are excited to present an opportunity for a Store Operations Specialist to join our client, an Engineering Company involved in the heavy engineering / renewables sector.

Job Summary:

The Store Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the engineering stores, including receiving and issuing stock, performing cycle counts, and ensuring accurate inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess excellent organizational skills.

About the Role:

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As the Store Operations Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Receiving and Issuing Stock: Manage the receipt and issue of engineering supplies and equipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency;
  2. Cycle Counts: Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory levels and identify discrepancies;
  3. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues.

Your Background:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience: A background in a similar role, preferably in a heavy engineering or renewables sector;
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and customers.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of circa £34k pa, paid overtime, life assurance, healthcare benefit scheme, and an employee assistance programme. This role is based at our client's site, which is easily accessible by public transport or car. We are looking for someone who is willing to work Monday - Friday, with opportunities for overtime available at an enhanced rate.
