Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

**About the Role**: We are seeking an outstanding Graduate to join our team as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant in Farnborough. This is a rewarding opportunity to gain experience supporting children with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
The successful candidate will work closely with the school's teaching staff, therapists, and support staff to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development, and language acquisition. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside qualified professionals and make a real difference to the lives of the children.
This is an excellent chance for a Graduate looking to kick-start their future career as a SEN Teacher or Speech and Language Therapist. You will gain vital experience working with students with speech, language, and communicational needs both in small groups and 1:1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
- Behaviour and pastoral support
- Take an active role in forward planning with therapists
- Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
- Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures
- Personal care support
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
What We Offer:
- Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
- £80-£100 per day, Mon-Fri, 8.30am, PAYE, term time only
- No previous experience is required
- You MUST have the right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
