Excelerate360 Ltd is a leading provider of IT and data centre services to multinational enterprises, data centre operators, and channel partners.

We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Engineer to join our team, based in Chelmsford, Essex.

About the Role

This is a field-based engineering role that will require you to travel to client sites daily, with occasional visits to HQ for training and job preparation works.

You will be responsible for:

  • Hardware and cable auditing
  • Troubleshooting and testing
  • Data centre IMAC works
  • Cable patching and patch schedules
  • Installation of copper and fibre optic structured cabling in data centres and commercial environments
  • Office and data centre migrations
  • Large infrastructure moves and installations of racks, PDU's, cabling containment

You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality services within strict timescales and quality standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in data centres and with critical infrastructure
  • Able to work unsociable hours and weekends (rota)
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
  • Full UK driving licence and experience driving a van
  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on experience
