Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Contract Manager

Job Summary:

Assystem is an international company with a mission to accelerate the energy transition worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contract Manager to join our team in the UK. As a Commercial Contract Manager, you will be responsible for leading commercial and contract management activities, providing commercial expertise and advice to the UK-based contract management team, and managing contractual relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contractual Analysis: Conduct thorough contractual analysis of the terms and conditions of the Contract (NSA) to provide expertise on supported areas of scope.
  • Commercial Management: Implement specific project procedures for commercial management and work closely with the technical team, project team, and other Contract Managers.
  • Contract Relationship Management: Manage contract relationships with customers, including negotiating proposals and offers, and updating technical descriptions based on negotiation conclusions.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Perform periodic reporting on commercial activities and provide input data for periodic project reviews.
  • Commercial Strategy and Targets: Contribute to the definition of project commercial strategy and yearly commercial targets, in accordance with project strategy and directives.
  • Risk and Claims Management: Manage early alerts and risks that could affect contract performance and anticipate any dispute or claim management.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in contract management on complex and multicultural industrial and infrastructure projects, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies.
  • Credentials: CIPS accreditation and educated to degree level.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, results-oriented, analytical, and ability to negotiate and manage conflicts.
  • Knowledge: Specific knowledge of UK law and its impact on contractual and commercial functions.
