Job Description

As a Commercial and Contracts Manager, you'll work within our client team, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager. Your role will involve commercial and contract management of a portion of the 'Genco-541' responsible designer contract between Edvance and NNB. You'll provide commercial expertise and support to our UK Engineering teams, interfacing closely with the Paris-based HPC contract management team on the entire scope of the project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating a portfolio of varied and complex contractual events from inception to implementation.
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies to respond to emergent contractual topics and issues.
  • Providing commercial and contractual subject matter expertise to our Engineering teams in the UK and France.
  • Producing, analysing, and presenting financial, contractual, and commercial data to internal project teams and clients.
  • Coordinating with Change, Cost, Risk, and Schedule teams to ensure coherent and consistent project progress.
  • Planning, preparing, and negotiating offers as part of an offer team.
  • Implementing all commercial and financial governance requirements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Contract Management on complex and multicultural industrial and infrastructure projects (energy, construction, transportation, or defence industry), with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies.
  • Knowledge of risk and claims management.
  • Specific knowledge of UK law and its impact upon the contractual and commercial functions.
