About the Role

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team at our Hertford Fitness & Wellbeing Centre. As a key member of our Property & Facilities team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of our building services, ensuring the smooth running of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Operations: Be responsible for the whole site, from the building shell to surrounding grounds, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Electrical and HVAC Systems: Maintain and repair electrical and HVAC systems, including emergency lighting testing, PAT, water hygiene, and other compliance areas.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement an effective preventative maintenance programme, using your hands-on experience and technical skills to ensure all systems are running at optimal levels.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including COSHH regulations and guidelines, and assist in the management of Health and Safety Management System folders.
  • Pool Maintenance: Carry out regular pool and spa testing, and complete fabric-based tasks, ensuring all pool maintenance is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Teamwork: Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with all other staff, and assist the Operations Manager in prioritizing health and safety management in the Building Services area.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working within a maintenance facility role, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Qualifications: Hold an electrical qualification (to 17th edition or equivalent), and a good knowledge of Building Management systems.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, excellent customer service and organization skills, and a team player committed to providing a service ethos.
