As Head of Catastrophe Risk Management, you will play a critical role in developing Ki's knowledge of catastrophe risk and implementing technology to support its commercial operations.

Company Overview

Ki was launched in 2021 on the back of a $500m fund-raise, making it one of the largest fintech start-ups that year. We have written over $400m worth of premium in 2021 and are continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market.

We work closely with partners at Google and UCL to develop our platform and create a fast and frictionless way for insurance brokers to cover risks. Our goal is to transform the multi-billion dollar global insurance industry and we need excellent minds like yours to help us achieve this goal.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000, depending on experience.

Job Description

You will work closely with the Senior Manager (Exposure Management), Risk Director, and members of the Exposure Management and Catastrophe Modelling functions to develop Ki's knowledge of catastrophe risk and implement technology to support Ki's commercial operations.

You will contribute to the development of the Ki view of risk and its implementation in the tools, systems, and analytics delivered by the Risk team and integrated into the technology platform.

You will also work closely with underwriters to manage underwriting volatility and identify opportunities for profitable growth across the portfolio.

Providing relevant subject matter expert input into wider Commercial division projects and deliverables, including through the design and maintenance of appropriate data schema and processes, will be a key part of this role.
