Catastrophe Modeller

The Catastrophe Analytics team at The Emerald Group is a leading force in Europe, providing top-notch advice to clients on their exposures to natural disasters. As a Catastrophe Modeller, you will be part of this esteemed team, working closely with clients to understand their risks and develop effective reinsurance strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead client portfolios analysis using catastrophe analytics and apply reinsurance structures to these portfolios.
  • Collaborate with reinsurers, brokers, and actuaries to understand exposures, review modelling results, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Participate in corporate practice groups and committees related to cat modelling and cat risk management.
  • Advise clients on potential incurred losses, post-event and on risk management basis.
  • Contribute to the development of proprietary analytical tools.

Requirements:

  • BSc or higher qualification in finance, statistics, science, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics for insurers, reinsurers, or similar financial services.
