At Arch Capital Group, we're seeking a skilled Catastrophe Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you'll be responsible for managing and modelling our binder portfolio across various classes, including natural catastrophes, terrorism, and contingency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead analyst for binders across multiple classes of business.
  • Lead analyst for modelling of the UK and Australia domestic portfolios.
  • Responsibility for portfolio roll-up of all binders for exposure management and catastrophe analytics purposes.
  • Analysis of monthly variances and ensuring good data governance within Arch portfolios.
  • Preparing data for outwards reinsurance purchasing for multiple Arch entities.
  • Support during Event Response.
  • Completing ad hoc requests from underwriters to assist with pricing and monitoring of risk.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of at least 1 catastrophe model, preferably Verisk/AIR.
  • Good knowledge of binder business and the modelling of in-force and transactional bordereaux.
  • Strong understanding of Insurance gained in a relevant industry role.
  • Ability to communicate catastrophe modelling concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven organisational and workload management skills.
  • Strong Problem-Solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel and SQL.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified, or 5 years' experience in Insurance.

Experience:

  • 5+ years Insurance.
  • Experience working in a similar role, in a Lloyd's syndicate or similar.
  • Experience modelling binders for catastrophe modelling
