Cardiology Secretary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cardiology Secretary to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our cardiology team, ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient clinics and maintaining accurate records.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the cardiology team, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and preparing correspondence.
- Ensure the timely turnaround of outpatient letters, clinic results, and other correspondence.
- Provide cover for other secretarial staff in the department as needed.
- Identify the need for clinic cancellations and prepare relevant paperwork.
- Liaise with the cardiology booking team to optimize outpatient clinics.
- Minute taking for departmental meetings.
- Provide guidance and training to junior members of the team.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced administrative professional who possesses the following qualities:
- GCSE Math and English or equivalent.
- Medical Secretarial Course or equivalent.
- NHS secretarial experience.
- Experience of working with confidential data.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Good written and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to cover duties of other secretarial staff.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Travel between hospital sites as needed.
- Maintain a flexible approach to the role and duties.
