Role Overview

In this dynamic position as a Risk and Underwriting Associate Analyst with The Cigna Group, you will be part of the SME Underwriting team based in Glasgow. Your focus will be on GEH business, discussing the performance of your SME contracts with client managers. You will support quotes and renewals activity for the SME book of business, identifying financial risks involved and developing a detailed understanding of every aspect of the international business unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review case-specific risk assessments within GEH
  • Negotiate terms with Sales and Client Management
  • Monitor account earnings plans to achieve growth and profitability
  • Analyse performance and provide detailed feedback to support portfolio management
  • Support Experience Underwriters with large group cases
  • Manage complex schemes: partnerships, top-ups, combined propositions...
  • Mentor junior members of staff
  • Provide regular reports to key stakeholders

Scope and Dimensions

You will report to the Underwriting Senior Supervisor, requiring a thorough knowledge of all business aspects. This role involves coordination and integration with various departments, including Sales & Client Management, Finance, Actuarial, Systems, Legal services, and Operational teams.
