Business Risk Analyst

Barclays is seeking a highly skilled Business Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Credit Risk Technology team, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in our digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Research and understand industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
- Design customised solutions that address client needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from our portfolio.
- Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms that benefit both the client and the bank.
- Provide guidance to clients on financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk management, and wealth management strategies.
- Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimise potential losses.
- Document client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability.
- Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
- Previous experience in a related Financial Services discipline.
- Risk domain knowledge and understanding – PD, LGD, Credit Risk & IFRS9.
- Experience working on Regulatory projects.
- Delivering projects using Agile methodology, working with SQL Queries and Data Models.
- Experience in BA activities including Impact/Data analysis and delivering comprehensive reports and presentations.
