Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Community Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex health needs, working closely with consultants, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatric respiratory nursing, with experience in managing patient caseloads and developing services to support patient care.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and innovation.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality care to patients with complex health needs, working closely with consultants, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
  • To manage a defined patient caseload, including patients with other health conditions such as cardiac, rheumatology, or other health needs.
  • To develop and implement services to support patient care, working in collaboration with the Children's Community Specialist Nursing team.

Person Specification
  • RN/RSCN Diploma or Degree
  • NMC Registered
  • MSc Advanced Practice/Clinical Masters or working towards within 2 academic years of appointment
  • Recognised teaching/assessing qualification 998/997 /mentorship
  • Relevant specialty related qualification/module
  • Trained in Advanced Life Support
