Airport Security Officer

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career in aviation security? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Security Officer at Newcastle International Airport Ltd.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, the public, and aircraft, primarily through the delivery of efficient security screening processes of people and goods entering security restricted areas of the airport.

As a Security Officer, you will be trained and equipped with the necessary skills to operate advanced security equipment and perform physical screening processes. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and capability alongside a dedicated team of friendly and experienced supervisors.
Shifts and working hours are allocated according to the needs of the business, and full-time and part-time hours are available. Some shifts may start before public transport times during the early hours, but many of our colleagues find this a welcome aspect of the role.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of passengers, the public, and aircraft
- Deliver efficient security screening processes of people and goods entering security restricted areas
- Operate advanced security equipment and perform physical screening processes
- Develop skills and capability alongside a dedicated team of supervisors
Requirements:
- Keen eye for detail and proven experience of being organised and driven
- Previous customer experience advantageous
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate key behaviours required of a Security Officer
