Airport Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Airport Security Officer to join our team at Newcastle International Airport Ltd. As a key member of our Security Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our passengers, aircraft, and airport operations.
The successful candidate will be enrolled on a three-week Ground Security Operative (GSO) training programme, which will provide in-depth knowledge of the role and equip you with the necessary skills to be effective and confident in the position.
Upon completion of the training, you will be awarded the GSO qualification and able to commence your career as a Security Officer at Newcastle International Airport Ltd. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient security screening processes of people and goods entering security restricted areas of the airport.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient security screening processes of people and goods entering security restricted areas of the airport.
- Operate technical security equipment and perform physical screening processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- No previous security experience is required, as full training will be provided.
- Ability to demonstrate key behaviours required of a Security Officer.
- Willingness to develop a professional career within security and the aviation sector.
